What exactly is a bootstrap pack?+
A compiled, deduplicated summary of your org's active MUST/SHOULD guidance, ordered narrowest-scope-first and capped at about 1,500 tokens. Agents load it once at session start, then search for anything more specific.
Which agents work with Lore Index?+
Any MCP-capable agent — Claude, Cursor, and your own custom agents. There are no per-vendor SDKs; it's one neutral endpoint.
How does the free trial work?+
Cloud starts with a 14-day free trial — no credit card required to begin. Add your billing details before the trial ends to keep your workspace active; you can cancel any time from the billing portal.
Can we self-host?+
On Enterprise, yes. Enterprise customers get a dedicated instance and choose where it runs — on their own infrastructure or managed by us in our cloud. Cloud workspaces run in Lore Index's managed cloud.
When should we talk to sales?+
Reach out for Enterprise when you need more than 100 members, a signed DPA, an SLA, or custom terms. Everything else is self-serve on Cloud.
How is this different from vector-store "memory"?+
Vector memory extracts and guesses. Lore Index is governed: entries are human-approved, scoped, versioned, and audited, and MUST rules are binding rather than probabilistic recall.
